West Gym AV Guide
Simple setup. Clean shutdown.
Follow each section in order for wireless microphones, HDMI audio, and projectors.
Start here
Read your section before turning anything on.
Choose the guide that matches what you are using. The order matters, especially when connecting a computer and powering the projectors.
Wireless microphones
AudioCheck the microphone name
Add batteries, turn on the microphone, and read the name on its screen. Turn on only the matching receiver.
Left receiver: Gym 1. Right receiver: Gym 2. Turn on only the receiver that matches your microphone.
Never turn on both receiver boxes when you are using only one microphone. This can cause a loud, intermittent noise.
Shut down the receiver in this order
Use the exact sequence below. Wait for the receiver to turn off, then turn off the microphone and return the microphone and batteries.
HDMI audio & projectors
VideoRequest HDMI audio in advance
Request HDMI audio pass-through at least two weekdays before your event. Any media you use must also follow Rancho’s Media Guidelines.
Request HDMI audioConnect the computer before the projectors
Plug in the computer first, then choose HDMI 2 SDI 4K as the display. If you need help setting up the external display, use the guide for your computer.
Turn on the projectors
Find the projector remote in the drawer. Stand in front of each projector, point the remote at it, and press power. A flashing green light means the projector is warming up.
Before you leave
